Ⅰ.city的意思是“城市、都市”，一般指大的和重要的城市(但在美國(guó)，每一個(gè)城市都可以稱為city)。如：

　?、?town的意思是“市鎮(zhèn)、城市”，一般指規(guī)模較小的城市，常作country(鄉(xiāng)下)的相對(duì)用語(yǔ)。如：
